Meeting Today With NSW Member For Maroubra, Michael Daley

I had a long chat with Michael Daley this morning at his ‘Mobile Office’ on a nearby street corner. I encouraged him to be a champion of 100% renewables in the NSW Labor Party. I gave him my copy of the Zero Carbon Australia Report. He said he’d read it. I pointed out that more jobs would be created than lost and the fact that it’d cost each household an extra $8 p/w in 2020, the same as increases if ‘business as usual’ was maintained.

I have a feeling that, if he does get re-elected, he’ll be willing to put forward 100% renewables to the shadow cabinet. We really need to keep the pressure on him to do so. Michael agrees with me every time we meet that we must get away from fossil fuels and appears he hungry for info about base load renewables. I look forward to following this up with him in the near future.
